Toys

Okay, yeah, sure, I'm a corporation hater, but I like toys a lot. I'm not immune. Vintage toys have a special place in my heart, as I just think that, generally, their design and quality is a lot better than most toys these days. I'm kind of picky about material, design, and quality!

My Build-a-Bears and Ty Beanie Babies are especially important to me. I easily get attached to inanimate objects, and I find it comforting carrying something familiar with me. Carrying toys gets you weird looks as an adult, so I don't do it unless I'm with someone else.

I name my BABs whatever I feel, while my beanie babies retain their ~designated names~. Most other toys don't have names.

I have other toys and plushes, but the ones on this page are the ones I have an attachment to.

Marina

My childhood BAB. If anything happened to her I would commit homicide and then commit homicide on myself. She's a 2005 Vanilla Fudge Bunny. There's no changing my mind that I think the Vanilla Fudge Bunny is the cutest BAB. I don't remember the year I got her, and I don't know if I still have her birth certificate. Her fur isn't in the best quality, but that's okay. She wouldn't be her if not for the slightly ratty fur.

I don't think I can express just how much I love her in words. Unfortunately, I don't handle her too much because I don't want to ruin her fur.

She has her own Build-a-Bear! It's a Mini Beans Spring Green Frog!

Ming-Ming

Born in April in 2024. My partner and I have an inside joke about a hypothetical child named Ming-Ming, so we made her real. She's a Build-a-Bear Pawlette. I'll be honest, I don't think she's that cute, but she's definitely soft and charming. The longer we have her, the more I come around to liking her appearance. We bring her out along with us sometimes, and we dress her for the occasion. I love her like a little baby. I like holding her a lot. If Marina isn't sitting in my lap, then it's probably Ming-Ming.

She smells like strawberries, and she has her own Build-a-Bear, who is a Mini Beans Pawlette!

Holly

A 2005 Build-a-Bear Loveable Lamb bought secondhand in 2023. I couldn't resist. The Loveable Lamb is one of my favorite lamb plushies. The face is just so endearing and charming. I really like her, and I often wonder about her past home. She had the tag when I got her, and her fur is in good quality, so she was probably just sitting around for a long, long time.

I'm not that attached to her yet, but she's so delightful to look at.

Cheezer

I'm forever mesmerized by his beautiful eyes, delicate whiskers, perfect little ears, and adorable tail. How can you not love Cheezer the Mouse. He's, of course, the 2000 Cheezer the Mouse Beanie Baby. My partner got him for me for my birthday in 2021.

Quacks

Found at a local antique shop for only $1.50. Quacks the Duck is one of McDonald's Teenie Beanie Babies from 1997. His tag appears to have an error though, as it says 1993.

Aren't his eyebrows and bill just delightful.

This Orange Cat

A Ty 1987 Al E. Kat plush my mom got me as a kid from an auction. I left it in Taiwan for years and I was sad about it. But it's now back with me. Incredibly cute!! Much cuter than the 1995 version imo.

Raichu

A 90s TOMY Raichu figurine. This current one was acquired to replace one I had in childhood but lost. The original was my favorite toy as a kid, to the point its tail fell off multiple times after being glued back.

Misc/TBA

Some other guys that I have in my house that may or may not get added to this list!

Wishlist

I don't consider myself a collector, but I just find these little fellows too charming to not have.
